The Opportunity
Kingston University has been commissioned by the London Development Agency (LDA) to undertake a study of Small to Medium Enterprises that are engaged in good workforce and supplier diversity practices. The aim is to produce case studies of good practice that will be posted on the website of the London Development Agency (http://www.diversityworksforlondon.com/).
Benefits to Participating Businesses
The hook is that for one hour of your time you get your company profile promoted by the London Development Agency as a model employer through their web site which they have also linked to the Diversity Works for London material including the Gold Standard which companies tendering on the Compete for web site are directed to. As most London-wide contracting is being directed through this system (for all sectors) it is great exposure.
Potential Case Studies – Private Sector Companies (with between 5 & 250 employees)
The case studies will focus in on management issues such as:
• getting staff involved in diversity projects
• diverse recruitment strategies
• promotion and development of a diverse staff
• managing a diverse workforce
• promoting a productive and harmonious workplace
• running a diverse business
• monitoring and reviewing diversity projects
